Do you qualify for hearing aids through work or insurance?

Most people are surprised by what their insurance or L&I claim may cover. We’ll ask a few quick questions about your work history and help you understand your options before you move forward.

Do I qualify? And can I afford it?

Those are exactly the right questions. Here’s how we help you get started:

Work-related hearing loss

If you’ve worked around loud noise in Washington State — construction, manufacturing, logging, aviation, or military — you may be eligible to pursue a hearing loss claim through L&I claim. We’ll ask a few questions about your work history and help guide you through the process. Our team specializes in these claims and handles most of the paperwork for you. If approved, hearing aids and ongoing care may be covered.

Insurance coverage

We work with most insurance plans and are in-network with many providers. Even out of network, we can often help you use your benefits. Our team can help check your coverage and explain your options.

Not sure which applies to you? That’s what your consultation is for — we’ll figure it out together.

“They walk you through the whole process of your L&I claim, they do 99% of the work… I received new hearing aids for the rest of my life plus a very nice check from L&I.”

— Larry B.

Three steps. We do most of them.

1

We review your situation

Start with a consultation in our office or at one of our travel locations. We’ll ask a few questions about your work history and insurance to help guide your next steps.

2

We handle the paperwork

For work-related (L&I) claims, we handle the paperwork and coordinate the required physician evaluation as part of your claim. For insurance, we help verify your benefits and explain your options so you know what to expect.

3

You get fitted

Custom fitting with follow-up visits, cleanings, and repairs. With approved L&I claims, ongoing care and supplies are typically covered. Insurance coverage varies by plan.

Family-owned since 1978. Not a chain.

Federal Certified Hearing Center was founded by Dorothy Daniels in 1978 — she made house calls to ensure every patient received personal, attentive care. Dorothy’s sons Lynn and Rich grew up in the business, and in 2019, Rich’s daughter Anna took over. Today we have three main offices and serve 14 locations across Washington State.

We’re not owned by a hearing aid manufacturer, and we don’t believe in a one size-fits-all approach. We primarily fit Starkey hearing aids because we trust them — but we service and repair most major brands, including devices we didn’t sell.

We also specialize in work-related L&I hearing loss claims and have helped patients across Washington navigate the process for decades – handling the details so they don’t have to.
